Meet the founders, Ben & Niamh.
We didn’t pick the name off a list. Both our mums are called Patricia, both artists at heart, both the reason we paint. Motion.
Two of Us, One Bet.
Ben and Niamh met in a sixth-form art class, Northampton School for Boys. They would stay behind after the bell, tunes on, painting for hours. For both of us, art was an escape from everything else life was throwing our way. We weren’t related by blood, but we became family.
Life happened after school. We went off and worked different jobs, but one thing never changed: we kept creating. That part of us never stopped.
Then one day, Ben rang Niamh out of the blue and asked for help painting a mural in a school. She turned up, saved the day, and somewhere between the paint and the music, we asked ourselves: why don’t we do this more often?
Then came Darling’s Barbers, our first proper job together, and everything clicked.
One belief runs through everything we do: everyone’s born an artist; most people just never had anyone get it out of them. So we turn your room into something you never forget, bring the energy, and leave you holding something you actually made.
We’re not related by blood, but we’re family. Business partners, partners in crime, therapists for each other, best mates, and the people who have always pushed one another to keep making things.
The name wasn’t picked from a list. Both our mums are called Patricia. We’re both Irish. We’ve both got a seven in our birthdays, and a seven in our home addresses. You can’t write that. So we put our mums’ name above the door.
Patricia Studios was born.
TWO OF US. TWO MUMS CALLED PATRICIA. ONE STUDIO ENERGY.
Named After the Two Women Who Started All This.
They’re where the colour started. Both our mums put pencils and paint in our hands before we knew what we were doing, and never once made out that art wasn’t a real thing to chase. The studio carries their name because they’re the reason any of it exists.
Putting their name over the door keeps us honest. You don’t do half a job on something that carries your mum’s name.
And it carries on. Niamh’s a mum now, to her son Jax, and her own mum is never far from it. It runs through everything she makes and how she teaches. A family thing, top to bottom.
Two of us, two mums called Patricia, and the next one already in the paint.
We change lives, one brushstroke at a time, getting the artist out of everyone, whatever their ability.
The experience is the point; the art on the wall’s just the proof.
People Book People.
Our whole edge is that there are two of us, partners in crime, not a faceless “studio”.
The Fusion Is the Whole Point.
Two artists, two distinct styles, and the magic is what happens when they meet on the same wall. Niamh brings the realism and execution; Ben brings the bold colour and outline. Book Patricia Studios and you get both.

…and together, that’s Patricia Studios.
